WOYWW 199

Here we are again, Wednesday comes around so quickly and we're still waiting for Spring to arrive!  I suspect Spring is procrastinating ... just like me at the moment!   I have some projects I need to complete for an event at the end of April (more news on that later) and I just can't seem to get my head around it.  I made a start on Monday (kind of) but yesterday was a no-no!  Consequently my desk is tidy ... cos what do you do when you're avoiding something?  Tidy up of course!  Guilty as charged : (

So, once I'd tidied up (I even hoovered!!), I still didn't get on with my projects.... I found some paints I was given years go that I'd never got around to trying and decided that definitely now was the time to try them!  See what I mean ... avoidance at it's worst!   Good news though, I really loved the paints, so may have to use them more often.  They are the Atelier Absolute Matte range, and the finish is gorgeous, just like pastel.  And they're easy to write over too!  You can see the fruits of my labours ... more faces!  Thanks Dina Wakley, you have unleashed my creative soul : D

Thanks as always to Julia for hosting this fab blog-fest and here's a Happy Wednesday to all you Woyww-ers!

Thanks for visiting and for all your lovely comments.  I shall pop over and see you soon.

Happy painting ...

Liz x

  1. That so made me laugh...because tidying up is my go to when I don't know what to do next!!! Only in my craft room, you understand, tidying up around the house takes a definite back seat...grin!!
I love the bright colours of your journal, that seems to be your antidote to the grim weather! Maybe that's why I had to buy that rose fabric...a yearning for the summer.
And I really love your painted trees on the previous post...they are gorgeous. Both the wardrobes and the canvas are very elegant indeed..clever yu!

  2. Lol, Liz,

I absolutely know that kind of state, when even tidying up feels better than anything else.... your journal page looks like it is meant to ignore that spring seems sooo far away at the moment. Love that!

Btw: the sunlotion bottle on my desk is my big water spray bottle I use for crafting...lol...you are right: if there was still sunlotion in there, it wouldn't be of any use at the moment...

    Have a wonderful WW!!!

I agree with all you said on my blog about numbers, doesn't even matter if they are a couple out because it has shifted, at least you have somewhere close to look.

  5. I know just what you mean!! Cleaning and tidying up is usually a way of avoiding things I have to do!! But on the plus side, I do think it 'clears your head' and gives your brain a chance to work out what it's going to do - and then you have a clean slate to start from!! Nice journal, Happy Easter Cindy #91

  7. Hehe! And all these desks today will be perfect 'timewasting' too :)
The paints look like they have a great finish - that is the only problem with desk hopping. I find a new product I want to try every week!!

  8. Please tell me that's white paint and not painstakingly cut out masked text?! Either way, it looks great, lovely and opaque.

  9. I'm the same...if my mojo is away on holiday I always tidy up. Sometimes it even helps because I find something under a pile of something else that gets me started again! Many thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a lovely comment. Happy WOYWW. Pam #21
