WOYWW148

.... WHAT?  I hear you saying ....

As promised yesterday, a new Wednesday game!  If you trip over to The Stamping Ground you will find 'What's On Your Workspace Wednesday 148' which is todays visit to everybody's desks with sneaky peeks on all their projects.  Because I'm extremely forgetful about taking and posting pics, I thought this would be a fun way to keep you all posted on what I'm doing ... well, we'll just see how it goes shall we?

Anyway, this week's offerings ...

So this is my desk ... all neatly arranged in piles which means it's things I should be working on and, as I've nowhere else to put them, if they stare me in the face long enough ... you get the gist ...lol!   The items on the left-hand side are all the bits and pieces for a project for Andy Skinner's Timeworn Techniques workshop, which I am hoping to get finished in time!  Top left are some items for painting/embellishing and sending to my good pal Lynn at Flutterby Crafts for display and the lovely piece of hessian on the side to include in projects too.  The glass jars I definitely have plans for ..... *cough* sometime soon!

I would love to use my desk as a 'desk' but it just becomes a dumping ground and I tend to work at a big table that I use for my workshops so I can spread myself out and because I need to clear up for my students.  So this pic is a couple of items of 'work in progress' ...

The main one being the toybox which is a commission and needs repair in places, and repainting.  I have been matching colours and photographing it so I'm looking forward to getting going on this one over the next couple of days.  The items on top are some storage boxes, candles and jars which I have been dabbling with for the shop and are in various stages of completion (ish).

So, that's it for me this week.  Thanks for visiting and I look forward to sharing some more 'workspace' pics next week.

Until then and if not before, happy painting ...

Liz

P.S. it helps us WOYWWer a lot of you turn off word verification, it is very time consuming Ta

  6. I love the sight of your desk, but the explanation gives me the shivers - I'm useless at multi-crafting...I'm a one job at a time gal..which I thought was why I'm a skilled procrastinator! At least if you've got some commissioned work you've got a central job to focus on...I draw comfort from that!!

  7. I only have one desk area, which I thought was huge (twice as big as my previous workspace), but it still is not big enough. I suspect nothing would really be big enough. The thought of two desks is scary - two places to lose things and pile them up. Now I must go and tidy up before I get too scared. Have a good Easter. xx Maggie #9
PS did you know you have the dreaded Word Verification turned on - that will put a lot of people off from leaving comments. some of us have difficulty reading the wobbly letters and it takes so much longer to get round everyone. If you need help turning it off, just ask.

  8. Thanks for all your visits and lovely comments. I'm very lucky to have a dedicated studio in a converted garage, but know full well that the more space I have ... the more I need! Oh the life of a 'craftist' ... never enough hours in the day, space in the studio, toys to play with, new things to try ... blah blah blah .... ; ) Lx
ps I've turned off the 'word verification' - thanks for the tip!

  9. Lots of good stuff going on in your studio, I know what you mean about space, I have a big attic room which is full to the hilt and I end up crafting on a space about 20cms square! still suc fun. Thanks for joining my site x

  10. A studio of your own is quite the blessing! I know just what you mean about never enough hours or space or toys...you saw how much I have crammed into my space! I like to multi craft as well...the more little projects I have going on the better, it seems sometimes...but I had to stop using the piling organizing system myself...the piles were too high and kept falling over so I spent most of my time re-piling instead of crafting! :) Drawers and baskets work so much better for me and, as a bonus, rarely topple over. ;)
Thanks for stopping by and I'm glad I finally made it over to see your space, #171-Deeyll
