WOYWW 205

Hello Bloggers ...

It's Wednesday ... and you know what that means??  Yep, the highlight of the week, a fun blog-hopping festival of art gorgeous-ness ... oh and a lot of messy desks too!  All thanks to Julia, our Hostess at The Stamping Ground, go and take a look but I warn you now ... it's addictive!

So, what's happening on my workdesk today ....

Firstly, I must confess that I took this yesterday afternoon *gasp*!!  Although I will admit that it does look pretty much the same, ie I haven't tidied up ... lol!

I've been playing with my faces again ... and experimenting with different backgrounds too (see my earlier post).  This particular one was Jo Sonja acrylics, some Tim Holtz tissue paper and then colours built up using Neocolor II crayons and the Stabilo All Pencil (thanks Dina W *wink*).  I spent more time building up the layers of colour on this one and I'm pleased with the effect, although her nose is a little short, but hey we're not all perfect!   I should really give her a name ... any suggestions?

Thanks for popping in, help yourself to a Percy Pig and stay for tea too if you have time.

Liz x

  1. Percy Pigs, eh? *settles down and puts the kettle on*

Love your work - I wish I had drawing/painting skills, but I couldn't draw if my life depended on it, so I thank the stars for digistamps!

  7. My eyes were drawn right away to the Percy Pigs. Even before you mentioned them in your post and now I want some! Loving all the other goodies on your desk too.

Your face's nose looks fine to me. I admire your willingness to have a go at faces. I think they're really, really hard so don't even try.

    Happy creating!

  9. Could you get the foam bananas in? I'm not a huge Percy fan to be honest..Ta. Loving your green woman, I didn't notice her not long enough nose..how does one tell!! So how do you know when to stop then? Paint, Pastels, pencils...I'd end up with an overworked swamp.

    1. Hi Nan, The box is a brush basin, and the holes are for sticking your brushes in when you're not using them although I never actually do that, I just throw them to one side ...lol!

  14. Have no clue why but Ophelia popped into my head before you even asked for a name. I need to make time to work on faces more so I can finish my Taking Flight book. Yours is coming along nicely. Creative Blessings! Kelly #103
