WOYWW 21...something

I think this heat has finally melted my brain!!  Lovely though it is, we are just not suited to long periods of extreme weather in the UK ...lol!  We are so geared up for 'making the most of it' because it's bound to end soon, that all normal routines fly out of the (open) window.  Consequently, I am now behind on absolutely everything .... WOYWW included .... ;)

So, a late welcome to those of you who have stopped by to see the chaos that is my workspace.  And, if you're wondering what on earth I'm going on about, stop by and visit Julia for the inside track....you won't regret it, it's awesome fun!

I am currently working with my regular Thursday ladies on a furniture painting project and last week we worked through some techniques.  They now have to plan their own piece and for inspiration I thought I should get something going myself.... and here it is ....


... an old studio chair almost ready for waxing, and in the background a whole load of stuff to be put away after my last workshop!!  I'd better get tidying in readiness for tomorrow's class, goodness knows what furniture they are bringing ..... 

Oh and in case you were missing Percy, a special treat for you ....

Look what I found in M&S .... Percy Pig is 21 .... doesn't he look young?

    WoW - there are no ends to your creativity are there ?!! :-D Great looking chair.
    Have they put the headline "Phew - what a scorcher" in the papers yet ??? They always used to hahaha LoL

    Hi Liz
    I am so glad you explained about the chair because before reading what you had written I was asking myself why would you sit on top of your desk and how would you craft up there!
    The chair is looking really good will you be painting anything on the seat part?

    Oh, I had a chair like that but gave it away, I should have painted it in a beautiful colour like you do and add a happy cushion to it. Good luck with the heat :) Hugs, Wendy #121

    Its always nice doing up old furniture and good for you. Sorry to hear about the heat wave, we actually had a beautiful day today a rare 23 degrees in the middle of winter how wonderful and then a massive storm blew in and dropped the temperature rapidly. Stay cool and craft.

    Happy Belated WOYWW, Liz! Percy does indeed look young and I think the secret is that he keeps himself well filled out. It's the reason I try to do the same, otherwise I'm totally sure I wouldn't be eating any chocolate or caramels or things like that. I'm sure.

    I was focused on those canvases in the background and almost missed the chalk paint and the chair (grin).
